Hooly ("we", "our", or "us") is a mobile application for AI image generation and image editing. With Hooly you can generate images from text prompts and use tools such as edit, upscale, reframe, erase, control-light, and background-remove. This Privacy Policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
By using Hooly, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Information We Collect
Account & Authentication
- Email address and user ID from Apple Sign-In or Google Sign-In
- Authentication tokens managed by Supabase Auth
Prompts & Generation Inputs
- The text prompts you enter to generate or edit images
- Reference or source images you upload to use as input for a generation or utility (temporarily stored while your request is processed)
- Generation settings you choose (such as model, aspect ratio, and output options)
Generated Images
- The images you create are stored in cloud storage and linked to your account so you can access your history across devices
- Metadata about each generation, such as the model used, status, timestamps, and computed cost
Usage & Billing
- Your credit balance and a ledger of credit purchases and usage
- A per-operation cost record used to enforce limits and display usage
- Subscription and purchase status synced from the App Store or Google Play via RevenueCat
Device & Local Data
- App preferences (such as theme and image settings) stored locally on your device
- We do not collect device identifiers, advertising IDs, or location data
3. How We Use Your Information
- Providing the service: Routing your prompts and input images to AI providers, generating and storing your images, and syncing your history across your devices
- Billing: Tracking your credit balance and per-operation cost to enforce plan limits and display usage
- Improving quality: Generating prompt suggestions and titles for your creations
- Security: Detecting and preventing abuse, unauthorized access, and policy violations
We do not use your images or prompts to train AI models. We do not sell your data to third parties.

When you generate or edit an image, your prompt and any input images are forwarded to the AI provider that fulfills the request. Please review each provider's privacy policy for how they handle this content.
5. Data Retention & Deletion
- Your generated images are retained as long as your account is active
- Input and reference images uploaded for a generation are temporary and are removed after the request is processed
- You can delete individual images at any time within the app
- To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the address below. We will process deletion requests within 30 days
6. Data Security
All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Credentials and tokens are stored encrypted at rest in our database. We use row-level security to ensure your data is accessible only to your account. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Children's Privacy
Hooly is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
8. Your Rights
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data; to withdraw consent; and to data portability. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of Hooly after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
